STATEMENTS AND LETTERS
Congratulatory telegram of president Áder János to Barack Obama, president of the United States of America
The Hon. Barack H. Obama
United States of America
January 21, 2013
Dear Mr. President,
Allow me to offer you my sincere congratulations upon your inauguration to your second term as President of the United States.
I find it symbolic and inspiring that your inauguration ceremony coincides with the commemoration of Reverend Martin Luther King’s birthday, as well as with the 150th anniversary of the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation by President Abraham Lincoln.
I am confident that under your guidance and renewed leadership the United States will continue to pursue innovative approaches to address global challenges, in cooperation with like-minded partners and allies, such as Hungary.
On behalf of the citizens of Hungary, I would also like to reiterate our wish to maintain and further develop the bonds of friendship between our countries.
Let me convey to you my heartfelt wishes for success during your second term in office, as well as good fortune and firm health to you and your family.
